Save, Steal Or Splurge – See Which You Can Buy For €23, €44 And €256

Three different looks at three different prices.

Cathy Donohue

This series is all about bringing you the best for your budget: so whether you have €30 or €300 to spend, we have something to suit.

This week we’re focusing on shorts and have included three different looks at three different prices: two are from the high street and one is high end.

It’s always fun to see if you can tell the cheap option from the more expensive and you might even be pleasantly surprised to see what each one works out at.

€23 at New Look

These burgundy shorts are exactly what we need to update our new season wardrobe. The scalloped hem adds a feminine touch and at €23, these are a find. If you want a quick and easy way to update your autumn winter wardrobe, look no further. Wear with opaque tights, ankle boots and a cosy jumper for easy chic.

£35 (€44) at Topshop

We do love a good print and these shorts from Topshop are 100% on this week’s style wishlist. The mix of monochrome, floral and lace makes for a delightful combination. Even better, it doesn’t take much work to style these shorts. Pair them with a white shirt or blouse and black courts for simple style or if you want to mix it up, add printed stilettos and a statement clutch.

Marc by Marc Jacobs, £205 (€256) at Brown Thomas

These are just plain cool, Marc knows his stuff. The print might be a little out there for some but we think it’s fabulous. The main thing here is to keep the rest of your look basic, stick to neutral shades and plain accessories. Dress down with a jumper for daywear or up with a camisole top for night.
