Save, Steal Or Splurge – A Cross Body Bag

It's impossible to pick just one.

Cathy Donohue

Although it’s easy to make a habit of shopping based on ‘what’s in’, this isn’t always a good idea.

Buying according to trends can incur debts pretty quickly and just because a piece is fashion forward doesn’t mean it will suit all body shapes.

Investment pieces in contrast, actually stand the test of time.

Each week we aim to introduce a new piece for your wardrobe and provide three options from where to buy, catering for all budgets.

€15, at Penneys

Penneys will always have a special place in our hearts and indeed in our wardrobes. This dove grey cross body bag looks like it cost a lot more than €15 and the gold details are super luxurious. If you’re bored of black and find white impossible to keep clean, this neutral grey is the perfect alternative.

£60 (€73) at Topshop

While not quite as cheap as the Penneys option, this Topshop bag won’t break the bank. The rust colour looks great paired with denim and this is the ideal accessory for festival dressing. We love the detailing yet the fabric is tough enough to endure numerous nights out. Pretty and practical, we are sold.

€250 Michael Kors, at BT2

Michael Kors bags are on many a wishlist and this red cross body bag is just adorable. It’s small in size but will manage to hold all your essentials, the colour is eye-catching and the gold labelling is luxurious, not loud. We might have to save the euros in order to get this one but it will be worth it in the end.
