River Island has seriously upped its blazer game recently and oh my god

A few years back, we may have collectively laughed in the face of the blazer. Well, maybe not so much laughed straight out because that's rude but we definitely weren't wearing half as many of them. They simply weren't as popular, there wasn't enough variety, if you wore one it kind of looking like you were heading to a job interview... there was a lot not to like. These days though, you could wear a blazer to an underground rave at 4am and no one would look at you twice, probably. That's why when we recently popped into River Island and saw the amount that they had upped their blazer game by, we were simultaneously impressed, delighted, and waving goodbye to the little bit of cash left in our bank accounts. There a good few to choose from too. Whether you wanted something jazzy like the above double-breasted tuxedo jacket (€95.00) or the below pastel pink blazer (€90.00), there does seem to be something to suit everyone. ... As long as payday isn't too far away. And we know, we know, the prices of the store's latest collection aren't exactly wallet-friendly. Some of the pieces even creep up past the €100 mark, but if you (like us) can't exactly afford to be splashing out right now, you can at least admire how divine, pretty, and stunning these blazers are. Until they go on sale and we can actually afford them, that is.
