It’s a week for award ceremonies with the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday and the Emmy Awards last night.
This is great news for us though as it means we get to swoon over gorgeous gowns and chic looks, debating our favourites. While there were sequins aplenty at the VMA’s, the style at the Emmy awards was considerably reserved in comparison.
There was an array of colours at last night’s event: January Jones opted for a fire engine red Prabal Gurung dress, Kerry Washington went for burnt orange Prada, Anna Gunn wore embellished blue Jenny Packham and Halle Berry chose dusky pink Elie Saab (a designer favoured by Her.ie if we ever win the lotto).
In addition to the block coloured beauties, we have to give a special nod to Girls star Alison Williams who wore a stunning Giambattista Valli strapless number.
Her colleague Lena Dunham opted for the same designer but rather than swooning over her ill-fitting candy floss inspired number, we’re wondering what on earth she was thinking…
