Celebrity milliner Philip Treacy is set to throw his hat back in the ring for London Fashion Week this year and make his first catwalk appearance after 12 years. Exciting, right?
The Irish Daily Mail reports that the man, who counts Lady Gaga as one of his biggest fans, is the latest designer to return to London Fashion Week.
Philip is expected to unveil his new collection on September 16, and we’re already crazy excited to see who will be sitting in the front row for this show – can you just imagine the amount of insane hats and fascinators that will be on display?
Treacy made his debut at London Fashion Week in 1993 and his show starred some major names in the modelling world: Naomi Campbell, Yasmin Le Bon and Kate Moss are just three of the women who walked for him.
“I phoned up Christy Turlington to say that I was having a show and would she do it for me. She agreed and the rest followed on. Naomi Campbell’s agent called the next day. Kate Moss complained that I hadn’t asked her. It completely changed perceptions of the hat,” Philip has said in the past, speaking about the legendary show.
Ever since his debut, it’s become something of a tradition for Philip to have some of the world’s best models walking for him, so we can only imagine what this comeback show will be like.
Philip’s last show featured some amazing hate designs – swirls, turkey feathers, horns and Cupid arrows all played a prominent part.
We wonder what the designer has up his sleeve for September?
