Ones To Watch – Up And Coming Fashion Stars

Chances are you’ve probably heard of them but in 2013 they’re set to go stellar

Her

Here we reveal  our predictions of the ones to watch in the year ahead.

JW Anderson

If you’re a dedicated fash fan you’ve definitely heard of this Derry born designer. Focussing on knitwear and oh so hip off-duty separates, at the tender age of 28 Anderson already has a Topshop collaboration under his belt, been named one of the NEWGEN recipients for London Fashion Week in February and picked up the Emerging Talent award at the prestigious British Fashion awards in November. And, not forgetting the host of hot young celebs rocking his designs on-and-off the red carpet. We predict great things!

Simone Rocha

When your father is esteemed fashion designer John Rocha, it would be easy to join the family business and ride on his coattails of success but that’s exactly what Simone Rocha didn’t do and she’s reaping the rewards because of it. 26-year-old Simone set up her eponymous label fresh out of college in 2010 and has already shown at London Fashion Week four times. Her fresh feminine meets masculine aesthetic has won her many a celeb fashion fan and her designs have been spotted on Saoirse Ronan, Alexa Chung and Lady Gaga to name but a few.

Cara Delevingne

Those eyebrows, that hair, the devil may care attitude… model of the moment Cara has been on out style radar for quite some time and we have a feeling that 2013 is set to be her year. She’s already appeared in Burberry campaigns, walked in this year’s Victoria’s Secret show, received the award for Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards and parties with Kate Moss’s crew. All she needs now is some uber-famous man candy on her arm to cement her name on everybody’s lips.

Angela Scanlon

Ever since she was named by Vogue as one to watch in 2013, Irish Angela’s star is definitely on the rise. The TV Presenter slash stylist slash fashion writer slash social media guru has managed to carve out a unique career path both in Ireland and the UK and is just as comfortable styling a shoot as she is interviewing the cast of the latest Hollywood blockbuster. Plus, she’s been named as the new Alexa Chung – big shoes to fill but we’re sure this Louboutin lover is up to the challenge.

Alexander Wang

We predict tickets to next year’s Balenciaga show at Paris Fashion Week will be the hottest in town and journalists, photographers and fashion fans alike will be positively foaming at the mouth to get one daahhling. The reason why? Alexander Wang. The young New Yorker has already found fame and fash pack approval with his own label but his move to the iconic French fashion house is highly anticipated and has solidified him as one of the BIG designers – not bad at 28!
