Ones To Watch – Our Event Picks for the Dublin Fashion Festival

On Thursday the fourth annual Dublin Fashion Festival kicked off in style (pun intended!), and across the weekend the fun continues. With a wonderful selection of activities across a four day calendar, we’ve paired up with the team behind DFF to bring you a selection of our favourite events over each day of the festival. Sadly, today is the last day of this year's festival - so if you haven't gotten involved yet - what are you waiting for!

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 8TH

 

Designs on You!

Meet the Designers at Brown Thomas.

Head to one of Ireland’s favourite department stores to meet the style mavens and mavericks behind Irish Designers CREATE. The line-up for today includes KDK – Keira and Darine Kennedy (12pm – 4pm), Maria Dorai Raj (2pm -4pm) and Rebecca Marsden (12pm – 2pm). The event takes place from 12pm-4pm in level one of Brown Thomas, Grafton Street and admission is free.

 

She’s in Fashion 

DFF Strike a Pose at St. Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre

Fancy yourself as the next Gisele? Be a model for the day and strike a pose, there’s nothing to it. Have your photograph taken by the flamboyant DFF photographer and enter a competition to be in with a chance of winning a €500 shopping spree voucher! This event is free and takes place from 12pm to 4pm at the St. Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre.

 

Formative Fashion

Kid’s Dress-up Box at Jervis St. Shopping Centre

If you know a little one who is as fashion crazy as you are, this is the event for you. Workshops and a dress-up box for the young fashionista is sure to keep your mini fashion fans happy this afternoon. This event is free and takes place from 12pm to 4pm at the Jervis St. Shopping Centre.

 

Make it Work!

Fashion Shows & Workshops at Brown Thomas

Fashion show and workshops hosted by Marie O’Shea, with new season collections from labels including Oska, Sarah Pacini, High on Upper Level 2 at landmark Dublin fashion store Brown Thomas. This even is free, and shows take place at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.

 

Melt into the Moment – Fashion on the Big Screen

Galaxy Movie Night at Cineworld

The phenomenal event calendar for this year’s DFF will culminate in this fab invite-only screening of a fabulous fashion-themed film, with some VIP treatment. An evening of fashion and fun! This event is invite-only, but keep an eye on the DFF website for the heads-up on ticket giveaways. The event takes place in Cineworld, Parnell Street.
