Let the Fashion Week frenzy commence!
New York’s fashion finest came out in force last night to see master couturier Oscar de la Renta collect a lifetime achievement award from the Couture Council, officially kicking off the celeb filled extravaganza that is New York Fashion Week. De la Renta first shot to fame in the 1960s when he began dressing first lady Jacqueline Kennedy and since then has garnered a huge following of noteworthy fans including Anna Wintour, Sarah-Jessica Parker and Diane von Furstenberg.

So what else is in store this fashion week? We’re eagerly anticipating Katie Holmes’ first runway show scheduled for September 12th followed by Lady Gaga’s takeover of the Guggenheim to launch her first ever perfume Fame on the 13th.
