You could do a lot worse than taking inspiration from Pippa Middleton. Kate's younger sister married her partner James Matthews last May in a divine lace gown by British designer Giles Deacon. She accessorised with a Maidenhair Fern tiara, a hairpiece by Robinson Pelham and satin Manolo Blahnik shoes. It was one of the most iconic wedding looks of 2017 - timeless and elegant thanks to the traditional lace and A-line skirt but still modern with its mock neck and cap sleeves. It was a look few of us could afford, though. The custom-made gown was estimated to cost in the region of £40,000 (€45,600). The dress has a place in many a bride-to-be's Pinterest board and no doubt prompted a surge in searches for similar, but maybe more affordable, versions. Luckily, we've spotted one that we reckon is very like it but that comes without the designer price tag. While its lace pattern is less traditional, the dress has the same silhouette - we'd think of it as more contemporary version of Pippa's gown. It's the kind of dress you could do as little or as much with as you'd like with. Go elegant like Pippa with a classy up-do and pearl jewellery or more boho with loosely curled hair and a flower crown. The dress is from Monsoon and is £399.20 (€455.24). We're unsure about whether the store delivers to Ireland but that's nothing a little Parcel Motel or Address Pal won't fix.
