Louise Cooney’s €38 NastyGal dress is one you’ll wear from now until Christmas

OK first of all, forgive us for using the ‘C’ word.

It is August and still warm enough not to need a coat and so any talk of Santa or selection boxes or midnight mass is enough to make our stomachs turn.

But… we have to admit we’re looking forward to updating our wardrobes for the season ahead.

We’ve been wearing sundresses and shorts for months but with all the new season stuff landing in shops right now, we’re on the hunt for bits that will work now and for autumn and into winter.

A red dress is always a handy transitional piece which is why we’ll definitely be picking up this swish number from NastyGal.

We love everything about this from its striking deep red colour to the flattering draped shoulder.

It’s just the sort of thing that will work for summer nights and well into the new season and up to Christmas.

It’s €38 and also comes in black – check it out here.

We spotted it on blogger Louise Cooney, who was out in Galway last night after a day of style-spotting at the Galway Races Ladies’ Day with Her.ie.

The dress is dramatic enough that it doesn’t need much accessorising, so Louise styled it with a simple gold pendant and some black lace-up stilettos.
