In Pictures: Orla Kiely at London Fashion Week

The Dublin-born designer transformed her fashion week runway into a rainy day in the park.

It may have been raining cats and dogs at the Orla Kiely show on Friday, but the fashpack didn’t mind one bit.

Of course, they were safely inside enjoying the new retro-inspired collection from the Irish designer.

Umbrellas were the accessory du jour for the show, which featured pastel coats and cute swing dresses. White tights, Peter Pan collars and Mary Janes gave the whole show a sixties-meets-schooldays vibe that Kiely’s fans lapped up.

The Dublin-born designer opted for a square show space instead of the traditional runway and transformed the venue into a day at the park, as Singing In The Rain played from the speakers.” What a glorious feeling”… indeed.
