Fashion blogging has completely exploded in recent years and bloggers at the top of their game are currently raking in the cash.
Although we knew that a lot of the money came from public appearances and product endorsements, it seems Instagram is also a way for fashion bloggers to attract the attention of major brands.
Danielle Bernstein, of We Wore What, recently spoke to Harper’s Bazaar and said that Instagram is one of her main income sources because certain brands are willing to pay big bucks for a single product placement.
The blogger has just reached one million followers and described this as “a huge milestone”.
One Instagram post alone can net Danielle a figure in the range of $5,000 to $15,000 and she said this fluctuates depending on if the brand wants more placements.
Furthermore, Thomas Rankin, co-founder and CEO of Dash Hudson spoke to the publication and said “there’s a rapidly developing economy on Instagram”.
Estimated figures show that brands spend more $1 billion a year on sponsored Instagram posts.
