We thought it was a universally accepted rule, that the only woman who should be wearing white at a wedding is the bride. But it seems like not everyone got the memo – with the latest survey revealing three in five women would wear white to someone else’s wedding. While we wouldn’t begrudge anyone having their style moment, there is a time and a place for being the centre of attention, and that never involves the day where the bride isn’t you. The survey, conducted by George at Asda, also highlights the problem of being a social (media) butterfly with half of all respondents admitting to buying new threads for every occasion rather than risk doubling up their photos on Facebook. This was closely followed by 40% of women saying their day would be ruined if another guest turned up in the same outfit as them. Which we totally don’t judge… once you stay clear of the white/cream/ ivory section of the store.
