Delirah!
For years now, we’ve all experienced the annoyance of having to size up one, if not two sizes in H&M clothes.
Yes, the high street store is notorious for its small sizing and has left many struggling to find clothes that fit thanks to their awkward measurements.
However, it looks like H&M has heard the complaints and is acting on it at long last.
The store is said to be making the measurements of their clothes bigger and we’re all delighted.
“Following customer feedback, we are taking the steps to change our womenswear measurements to be in line with UK sizing,” a spokesperson for the high street chain said of the move before going on to confirm what we’ve all known for years.
“For example, the previous measurements and fit of a size 12 will now be the measurements of a size 10.”
About fucking time. I am sick of going clothes shopping and having to try on copious amounts of the same thing because sizing is not labelled correctly. In my wardrobe I have a pair of size 12 AND SIZE 18 jeans. https://t.co/afpoptfJNV

Pleased to see that @hm is eventually changing its sizing…so many times I’ve left the changing rooms with my self-esteem in tatters, and that’s as a fairly body positive 25 y/o, imagine if I’d been 15 and more impressionable! https://t.co/8YR5dxlzTa

Excellent news. High street sizing is bonkers, and H&M is – was – one of the worst offenders. https://t.co/OIbQocjzR6

The newly sized clothes are already being shipped out to stores and will soon be extended to their online store, however, it won’t happen overnight.
“This will be a gradual process and we cannot confirm when this will be 100 percent complete.
“The new sizing is in effect already in our stores and shortly will be online, we aim to make this transition as smooth as possible for the customer.”
We’re already huge fans of H&M’s offerings and now we can all feel more confident heading to the tills without trying them on.
