High Street vs High Fashion – H&M on the Red Carpet at the VMAs

The style on Sunday night's VMA red carpet left a lot to be desired in most instances, but one Knowles sister wins plaudits for taking on high fashion with high street. 

Solange Knowles was in attendance for one of the biggest nights in her sister Beyoncé's career. She played it low-key at the ceremony itself, taking a seat away from brother-in-law Jay Z and niece Blue Ivy, but took her turn to shine by sparkling on the arrivals carpet.

The singer showcased a sneak peek at H&M's forthcoming A/W Studio Collection, pairing an oversized shimmering tux jacket with matching cigarette pants and stilettos. Solange turned up the sex appeal by going topless underneath the jacket.

This is a clear sign that the co-eds trend isn't going anywhere for autumn/winter, and the good news if you loved the look is that you'll soon be able to recreate it yourself, without a celebrity budget.

The jacket is €79.95,  the trousers are €59.95 and both will be available from H&M stores and online from September 4th.
