Harry Potter gets a haute couture makeover with this deadly Instagram page

It’s been seven years since the last film was released but we’re still not ready to move on from the Harry Potter series and we don’t think we ever will. Yes, whether it’s a Potter-themed makeup or a magical cruise, we want to know about it. So, you can imagine our excitement when we heard about an Instagram account dedicated to our two favourite things – Harry Potter and fashion. Some absolute legend has been photoshopping our favourite Potter characters into haute couture outfits and is sharing the images on the incredibly named, Gryffindior on Instagram. Everyone from Dumbledore himself to Miss Hermoine Granger have gotten a high fashion makeover into the stylings of Christian Dior and we’re loving it. The idea apparently came about when one creative wanted to hone her skills.

“I’d been looking for a project to brush up my Photoshop skills,” creator of the account, Rachel Bernstein told Who What Wear of the page. “The Instagram handle was still available (to my surprise!) and from there I started researching images and making posts. “The audience for both high fashion and Harry Potter thrive off fantasy, strength, and humour, so the two are an easy match.”

However, while the account is still very new, there is one stand-out winner when it comes to being favourite among the 12,000 followers, and that’s Professor McGonagall. Wearing a stunning multicoloured velvet coat, Maggie Smith’s character looks every bit the runway model, and with over 3,200 likes everyone seems to be as obsessed as we are.
