On Friday afternoon, Glenda Gilson announced that she was pregnant with her first child.
The 37-year-old has been married to Rob MacNaughton for almost four years, having tied the knot at the Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg in August 2014.
And then on Friday evening, the Dubliner hit the VIP Style Awards red-carpet rocking a black jumpsuit with a deep slit on one leg and a sweeping chiffon cape on one shoulder.
The look was a departure from the gowns and elaborate dresses that most guests opted for – and evidently it was a massive hit; at the end of the soiree, the coveted Look Of The Night award was given to Glenda.
Glenda told IrishMirror.ie on the evening that her pregnancy hasn’t entirely been plain-sailing and that she’s been “sick every day for the last couple of weeks and it hasn’t stopped”.
“That’s a tough one as well because doing the job I’m doing,” she stated. “Over the last few weeks I’ve been sick in front of cameramen, stylists… but thankfully no celebs!”
And she told TheSun.ie that she and Rob “had a great few years of marriage and it’s time to grow up now”.
“I’ve loads of my own friends who have children who are nearly teenagers now,” she added, explaining she therefore has plenty of folk on-hand to give her parenting support and advice.
Also looking stunners on the night was Glenda’s Xpose colleague, Cassie Stokes: she wore a floral suit teamed with fab accessories from Edge Only – including a short Pow gold necklace layered with a longer lightning strike one (fyi Angela Scanlon is a BIG fan of the same brand).
