Fashion month is in full swing and now that the New York shows are at an end, we’re very excited for London Fashion Week.
The spring summer 2016 schedule runs from Friday the 18th to Tuesday 23rd September, and this Her girl can’t wait to trend spot and celeb stalk.
There are a number of Irish designers who have made it big internationally and London Fashion Week is the perfect opportunity to celebrate this achievement.
Here’s who out to watch for this season…
Paul Costelloe – Friday 18th September
A couple of months back, we had the privilege of chatting to Paul and were bowled over by his enthusiasm and charisma. The Dublin native explained that “showing in London is tough as it’s a young city and they want new ideas”.

With a career that spans three decades, Paul continues to create new collections that toe the line between high fashion and classic chic.
We predict good things from this show…
Orla Kiely – Saturday 19th September
Mention Orla Kiely and the first thing we think is print. Her vibrant colourful designs now extend past fashion to homeware, stationery and wallpaper.
Orla Kiely’s presentations are always a highlight…
Everyone from the Duchess of Cambridge to Alexa Chung has been spotted in her designs proving the versatility of her statement prints and classic cuts.
J W Anderson – Saturday 19th September
This Irish talent has attracted rave reviews because of his ability to design for both men and women.
He collaborated with Topshop twice and also created a line for Versace diffusion line Versus setting him on path to international fame.

Miuccia Prada’s right hand, Manuela Pavesi, recognised an immense talent in Anderson and took him under his wing.
With credentials like that, it’s no surprise that his show is one of the most anticipated at London Fashion Week.
Simone Rocha – Saturday 19th September
Last week it was revealed that Simone is expecting her first child. She’s also showing her spring summer 2016 collection this weekend in addition to opening her first stand-alone store in Mayfair.
The daughter of John Rocha, Simone has impressed the fashion elite since her London Fashion Week debut in 2010.
From collaborating with J Brand to dressing Keira Knightley, it’s no surprise that we have a serious girl crush.

Unfold – Friday 18th September
Unfold is a showcase featuring 11 established Irish designers including jewellery aficionado Chupi, Alexander McQueen trained Emma Manley and Helen Steele, who cites Amy Huberman among her fans.

It’s an initiative taking place as part of Irish Design 2015 and is also an official event on the London Fashion Week calendar.
We’re going to be attending so keep on the site for behind the scenes shots and interviews.
