First Look: Maison Martin Margiela x H&M Collection Fashion Film

The avant-garde designer label takes to the (high) streets!

Her

High-street gems H&M pioneered the designer collaboration trend back in 2004 with their Karl Lagerfeld collection and their latest offering with avant-garde label Maison Martin Margiela hits stores on November 15th.

The pairing is a little bit surprising and we’re not expecting to see the same level of over-night queuing that their guest designer collaborations usually generate but we implore you, this is one collection that you won’t want to miss!

Ok, so the clothes aren’t as wearable as previous designers offerings but for anyone with a penchant for a voluminous coat, billowing wide-leg trouser, a minimalist aesthetic and stand out ‘where did you get that?’ accessories, this collection has plenty to offer.

The internet has been awash with leaked campaign images and stills from a runway show since the collection was announced in June and the latest offering to whet your appetite (and perhaps prove that the clothes are in fact wearable) is a fashion forward film. Shot in Paris and featuring model Jamie Bochert and slightly freaky fluttering slow-mo doves, it’ll have you thinking ‘ooh I want that dress’ and ‘get off the road woman’ all at once. But don’t take our word for it – check out the film for yourself.

We guarantee you’ll be tempted to set your alarm clock extra early on the 15th…
