The high street have been churning out designer collaborations like there’s no tomorrow.
It’s a tried-and-tested formula that’s been wheeled out a lot over the last couple of years. The Versace for H&M collection last November was a definite dud and if you fell for its shiny ways then more fool you!
But the JW Anderson X Topshop collection isn’t a poor man’s version of the real deal, this collection stands alone in it’s desirability. We’re loving its ways and are gearing up for the collection to hit rails on Saturday.
We’re not feeling the styling but we are crushing hard on those retro roller skates
This Derry born designer flew under the radar until the female fash pack started pinching his menswear threads for themselves. Tomboy trendsetters Alexa Chung and Kirsten Dunst are big fans of Anderson’s androgynous stylings. That’s some well-dressed company indeed.

This looks like the jumble sale approach to dressing
The styling of the lookbook is definitely a bit questionable and that straggly hair is more emo goth than glam fashionista. Funny, given that surely the purpose of a lookbook is to make the clothes look desirable? It definitely falls short on that count. But stick with us because it gets good further on.
There are a number of individual pieces in the collection that are real wardrobe winners. Our top three style hits are the Aztec trousers, zebra pattern tee and cat eye jumper. And the best bit? They’re totally wearable and accessible - prices start at €45.99.
