First Look: Beyoncé’s Modelling Debut For H&M

She looks AH-MAZING...

You would think the busy mum-of-one would be focussing all her attention on her upcoming Mrs. Carter world tour, but always the grafter, Beyoncé has taken time out of her hectic schedule to star in H&M’s summer campaign – “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M”

The high street hero is going from strength to strength and has succeeded in attracting a host of big names to its brand in the past couple of years. From their designer collaborations to their A-list models, these days the budget retailer is behaving more like a high end designer label, so one of the worlds biggest stars in its summer campaign seems like a natural fit.

But back to Bey. Looking uber sexy in teeny patterned shorts and a retro inspired shirt, the campaign was shot in Nassau in the Bahamas by photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and the first sneak peek pic is stunning.

Speaking about the experience the singer says, “I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements – fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial.”

Beyoncé’s Mrs Carter tour is coming to Dublin’s O2 Arena on May 11th and 12th

Wearing key H&M summer pieces throughout, the longer length commercial will be available to view online, while an edited version featuring Beyoncé‘s new song Standing On The Sun, will be screened on TV from the beginning of May.

And if this first photo is anthing to go by, it looks like we’re in for a treat!
