Can bright yellow and corduroy ever sit well together?
Zara seem to think so anyway, which is probably why they’ve started selling a suit that is just that.
It’s bright. It’s yellow. It’s corduroy. Generally all the things you wouldn’t think to put together when designing a suit and yet, here we are, watching influencers from all over Instagramming this piece like there’s no tomorrow.
If you need a bit of context, look no further than the below images.
There it is there now. Yellow and corduroy.
Like, it’s definitely not the worst thing you could ever purchase and wear on your actual body but it’s definitely not the best either.
The suit’s blazer has a lapel collar and long sleeves, welt pockets in the front, and some lovely (ahem) double-breasted brown and white buttons.
And while we’ve all been super into our yellows lately, we simply cannot seem to get on board with whatever’s going on here (well, I can’t anyway, but what do I know about fashion? I’m a serial print clasher).
Lots of other people on Instagram are really into this particular suit too, which means that, yeah OK maybe it is actually nice and we just haven’t a clue what we’re talking about.
Or everyone is lying to themselves for the sake of a few likes.
Whichever.

The suit is also retailing at €79.95 for the blazer and another €39.95 for the pants.
Basically, absolutely more than we would ever be willing to pay for something like this, but other people have and the suit will probably be out of stock soon because of that so what can you do?

Trinny from Trinny and Susannah is even wearing it, in fairness.
And she really knows What Not To Wear.

Sure look.
