Erika Fox’s limited edition River Island coat has us praying for colder weather

Coat season is coming.

Depending on your sartorial tastes, packing away your summer things and pulling out your winter clothes will either fill you with excitement or dread. We're feeling a little of both (how is it time for scarves again already?) but we reckon the key is getting ahead of the game and finding a coat that you absolutely love now. Our outerwear inspiration at the moment comes courtesy of Retro Flame; Kerry-born blogger Erika Fox. She's well prepared for chilly conditions with this gorgeous piece from River Island. Living in New York City, Erika knows how to balance staying warm with looking stylish and definitely ticks off both with this coat. The faux fur trim, gold buttons, military silhouette and delicious neutral shade scream glamour and we're betting that this is pretty snug too. It can also be work without the collar if you fancy a more low-key look. Known for sticking to a simple colour palette, Erika paired her coat with black jeans, a black top and white slingback heels. That's not to say you have to do the same – we'd love to see this dressed down with mom jeans and boots for an everyday look.
