OK, you’re probably not thinking about buying jackets or coats right now but hear us out.
It is the middle of July and as such very warm right now but chalk it down – it won’t be long before we need to bring a jacket with us when leaving the house again.
The humble denim jacket is always a good shout during those late summer/ early autumn days. You can tie it around your waist and throw it on when needed; it’s also very handy for layering over other bits.

Blue and black are the standard, safe shades of denim we fall back on each year but for a more fashion forward option, we adore this off-white one from Penneys.
We first spotted it on blogger Emma Kehoe and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since then.
Though she has it styled like a shirt, the jacket would make the ultimate transitional piece for your wardrobe.
The light shade is summery but the contrast stitching and rustic buttons will bring this into the next season with ease.
It’s in Penneys stores now for €15.
