Another day, another royal style icon.
Guys, we love nothing more than a little royal visit.
And while we’re so used to the British royals visiting Ireland, sometimes it’s nice for a change of pace.
When we say change of pace, we simply mean another royal family to gawk at.
This week, members of the Dutch royal family are visiting our gorge country for a few days.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands arrived on Wednesday, for what is s three day tour.
The couple were welcomed by President Michael D Higgins and his wife for their first official engagement, which took place in Aras an Uachtarain.
The Queen and King planted a tree in the garden of the president’s home, which has been a tradition since 1853.
The tradition of planting trees in the grounds of the Aras started in September 1853, when Queen Victoria placed the first of three trees.
So far, the visit has been going great, with a number of formal engagements taking place.
However, while we’re all about the relationship building and the politics, truthfully, we’re really just here for the style.
And lads, Queen Maxima really knows fashion, and his been rocking some amazing looks this week.
Upon her arrival, the Queen wore a beautiful gold dress to meet President Higgins and his wife.
However, it was last night’s outfit that really stopped the lights.
A state dinner took place yesterday evening, which was a formal affair.
The Queen wore a STUNNING green gown by Dutch designer Jan Taminiau, a nod to Ireland and her own country.
She accessorised the dress with jewels from the Dutch royal family vault (casual).
This included the Emerald Parure Tiara, a pair of emerald earrings and an unbelievable emerald and diamond necklace.
10/10.
