Doireann Garrihy is obsessed with her new runners… and so are we

They are fab.

Is there anything better than buying something you're completely obsessed with? No, is the answer, because even though it's entirely material, loving something you're wearing can give you a new boost of confidence and make you say 'yeah, I look good today'. Doireann Garrihy was one of those people this weekend as she bought a new pair of runners, as we have to say, we're just as obsessed with them as she is. The black runners have metallic pink, blue, orange and green colouring on the sides and back. She took to Instagram Stories to share how much she loved them and then posted a picture on the site, writing: "Never let a filthy mirror get in the way of a new kicks pic." We have to say, now that the weather is looking a little bit better and we won't be trudging around in big boots anymore, we're looking forward to welcoming in some new runners to our wardrobes. The sneakers are described on the website: "The upper is split into contrasting panels of faux leather in an opulent metallic finish; hot pink, bright orange, electric blue and minty turquoise make sure that you will stand out from the crowd! The lace upfront has a black woven mesh panel on the sides and are super lightweight." Doireann found these ones in Buffalo Shoes' Shoe Lab, which has stores on Exchequer Street and in Arnotts and they cost €98. We need these in our lives.
