A top New York tattoo artist has revealed his predictions for the coolest ink trends in 2019

When it comes to tattoos, everyone's tastes are different. Some people love traditional ones, some love new school or surrealism. There's one style that's really become popular over the last few years however and that's fine line tattoos. These are often quite minimalistic, stripped back on shading but nonetheless make a statement. Even a dainty one can be really intricate if you get an artist that's really good with line work. According to a top NYC artist, who's tattooed the likes of Selena Gomez, Rihanna and Kendell Jenner, this style is here to stay for 2019. Keith "Bang Bang" McCurdy told PopSugar that fine line tattoos look set to remain popular, but with one difference - the size:

"Fine line work has been popular for many years, and recently artists have become more willing to do it and move out of the comfort zone of large, pulled line work. "As these tattoos become common, it will become more trendy to get larger, more intricate works. As tattoos become more acceptable, people will be less apprehensive to tattoo more of their body."
