Vera Wang has just shown an-all pink collection at New York bridal fashion week for autumn/winter 2014.
Classic films such as Funny Face and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes provided inspiration for the collection.
Wang told website Women’s Wear Daily that it was the “irony of pink and all those shades for winter” that gave her the idea for this line.

The designer’s trademark ruffles, corsetry and feathers are present in this collection too but the fuchsia, coral and rose tones sets it apart from previous years.
Previous lines from Wang have also veered away from the traditional, black and nude was showcased for autumn winter 2012 while spring summer 2013 concentrated on a crimson theme.
Last season introduced monochrome dresses with leather accents… not for the faint hearted!

Although pink isn’t exactly a popular choice for brides-to-be, there are celebrities who have chosen to add a touch of pink to their wedding attire.
Anne Hathaway and Jessica Biel wore pink to get married and Wang wanted to tap into this trend.
“Look how flattering it (pink) is on all skin types”, said Wang after the show.
This may be true but we’re not sure if pink wedding dresses will become the norm anytime soon.
