And we absolutely love it.
Some fashion trends are better left in the past (sorry Kim K but even you can’t make popper tracksuit bottoms cool). While others we are very happy to see make a welcome return.
This summer it seems like the ’70s are having a bit of a moment and we couldn’t be happier.
We predict that there will be lots of ’70s inspired looks at all the summer festivals. Here’s our guide to recreating the look yourself.
It might be time to raid your mum’s wardrobe.
Embroidery
Embroidery is one of the easiest ways to work this trend into your wardrobe. Thankfully there are lots of great options on the high street coming into spring. We’re putting this one on our wishlist.
Fringing
Yes, it’s back folks. Before you conjure up visions of Calamity Jane, don’t worry. Fringing works best when it is subtle and kept to one item of clothing only. Keep it simple and you’ll be on to a winner.
Denim flares
We love love love this look. There is something so elegant about a nice pair of denim flares. Wear yours with a floral crop top to finish off the look.
Bell sleeves
These tops are everywhere at the minute and we can definitely see why. We will take one in every colour please and thank you.
Chunky heels
Put those stilettos away because it’s all about the chunky heel this spring/summer. It’s just an added bonus that they are seriously comfy.
Floppy hat
Say goodbye to minging day 3 festival hair. A good floppy hat will carry you through the summer months and protect your gruaig from the sun if you’re going on holiday too.
