5 bandage dresses on sale now that we’d absolutely still wear… maybe

Jade Hayden

… Or maybe not.

Many people are of the opinion that the bandage dress had its day in the sun.

It came, it saw, it made us all look very slim indeed the harsh lighting of the underage disco, and it conquered.

It was great for awhile, the staple of every Irish girl’s wardrobe.

You honestly couldn’t be caught dead wearing anything else while shifting some lad while your mates cheered in the background, drunk off one bottle of WKD between them.

Bliss.

Many, however, appear to be of the (some may say controversial) opinion that the bandage dress is here to stay.

After all, it’s got everything you want from a garment:

  • Support
  • A ‘bandage’ effect
  • Cloth

… That’s it, really, whatever.

There may be some truth to the above though because a quick search on the World Wide Web proves that the classic bandage dress is still very much being sold by Irish retailers.

Yes ladies, that means that you can literally buy yourself one this second and have it shipped directly to your home (!!!).

Living the dream.

Or not, depends on how you feel about the dress.

Here are five of them anyway that we would absolutely consider wearing on a night out but also maybe not because it’s still a bandage dress, you know?

Missguided: black bandage midi – €38.00

PrettyLittleThing: red bandage midi – €56.00

My Bandage Dress: nude midi dress – €79.00

(Yes, that is the name of the company, thank you very much.)

My Bandage Dress: Florence pastel dress – €79.00

Missguided: white mesh bandage midi – €38.00

(Alright, alright, it’s the same dress as the first one but in white – it’s hard to find decent bandage dresses, you know?)

All of the above are mainly giving us throwback vibes as opposed to any real yes-these-are-acceptable-dresses-to-wear-on-nights-out-in-2018-vibes.

But sure look, what can you do?

Love live the bandage.
