

Skyfall has broken more records than Usain Bolt (well maybe not but still, it’s broken a lot) and it looks like it might have another good night at the BAFTAs having received eight nominations.
Javier Bardem is up for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Raoul Silva but will be up against Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained), Alan Arkin (Argo), Philip Seymour Hoffman (The Master) and Tommy Lee Jones (Lincoln).

And it doesn’t stop there for the latest James Bond instalment as Dame Judi Dench, who plays M in the films, is in with a chance of taking home the title of Best Supporting Actress which could also go to Les Misérables star Anne Hathaway.
The musical got nine nods altogether including Hugh Jackman for Best Actor. However the Australian will have to beat Daniel Day-Lewis (Lincoln), Ben Affleck (Argo), Bradley Cooper (Silver Linings Playbook) and Joaquin Phoenix (The Master) to take home the award.

Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln leads the way this year with an incredible 10 nods. It will be vying for Best Film which also includes Les Misérables, Argo, Life Of Pi and Zero Dark Thirty.
Django Unchained makes an appearance in the Original Screenplay category with Quentin Tarantino in for Best Director against Ben Affleck (Argo), Ang Lee (Life Of Pi), Kathryn Bigelow (Zero Dark Thirty) and Michael Haneke (Amour).
