Biles will compete in the balance beam event tomorrow.
USA Gymnastics has confirmed that Simone Biles will return and compete in her final event, the balance beam, at the Olympics tomorrow. The 24-year-old had previously dropped out of the all-around, floor exercise, vault and asymmetric bars finals.
“We are so excited to confirm that you will see two U.S. athletes in the balance beam final tomorrow – Suni Lee AND Simone Biles!!,” USA Gymnastics posted on Twitter.

Last week, the four-time gold medal winner confirmed that it was not physical injuries that resulted in her withdrawal, saying she “just felt it would be a little bit better to take a back seat and work on my mindfulness.”
Biles is the reigning world champion on the beam and picked up a bronze on the apparatus at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
