A 61-year-old woman has died following a four-car crash in Co. Carlow.
The crash is reported to have occurred at Knockloe in Tullow at approximately 6.10pm on Friday evening.
The woman is said to have been a passenger in one of the vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 71-year-old man who was driving the car was also injured in the incident and was taken to St Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny.
A second driver, believed to be a 45-year-old male, was also taken to St Luke’s hospital for treatment.
The drivers of the other cars involved in the incident are believed to have not been injured.
The road has since been re-opened after being closed for technical examinations.
