Gardaí have launched an investigation after a woman’s body was found in Dunnes Stores on Patrick Street in Cork.
According to reports the woman from Blackrock, who was in her 60s, was found in the toilets by cleaning staff before 8.00am this morning.
The gardaí believe she went to the toilet before the store closed but later collapsed and died. Her body was there overnight.
They are now awaiting the results of the post-mortem to determine the cause of her death which is not thought to be suspicious.
