A woman has been charged with the murder of a baby boy in north Belfast.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said Liam O’Keefe died in a stabbing incident on Tuesday at Brompton Park in the Ardoyne area. His sister, who was injured in the same incident, remains in hospital.
The PSNI said on Friday morning that a 29-year-old woman had been charged with the murder of Liam O'Keefe and the attempted murder of another child.
She is due to appear before Belfast Magistrate's Court on Friday morning.
In their statement the PSNI confirmed that a murder investigation was underway yesterday:
"Police have commenced a murder investigation following the death of a child in the Brompton Park area of north Belfast this evening and made one arrest in relation to this."
