A couple who have been together for many years have explained why the “hotwife” lifestyle isn’t counted as cheating.
While they’ve been together for 17 years, Maddie and Kyle have explained how they started to experiment with non-monogamy early into their marriage, as they found things were getting “a bit boring”
“We were just like ‘let's make a list of things to do to just make things a bit more exciting’”, Maddie said, during her appearance on the Channel 4 documentary Love Against The Odds.
She said that her idea of a more exciting marriage was to go visit more places and go on trips.
Kyle, on the other hand, asked her “do you want to have a threesome”.
Turns out the couple did this for a while after that.
Following that experiment, they got into swinging and from there up took “hotwifing”.
The “hotwife” lifestyle means a married woman sleeps with other men, who aren’t her husband.
In this case, Maddie sleeps with men who aren’t Kyle.
There are still people who think it amounts to cheating in the relationship, even if it’s with the knowledge and consent of her husband.
In the documentary, Maddie explained how she didn’t see it as cheating.
“They call us the ones that are being immoral, but then that's their behaviour”, she said as the couple explained one of their neighbours signed up for their OnlyFans page and told the village.
“When people say it's cheating, cheating is deceitful, there's always consent, there's never anything non-consensual in my relationship. I've never cheated in my life.”
A neighbour rumbling their OnlyFans and spreading the word around meant they “had to change how we do everything”, as now the other mums at school won't talk to her, Maddie added.
Meanwhile, Kyle says that the reaction is harsher on his wife, as he doesn’t get “filthy glances” like she does.
“Maybe because she's female she seemed to be doing something more wrong”, he suggested.
“I enjoy her going out alone more. What I like about her going out alone is not knowing - your mind is going all over the place”, Kyle added, explaining what he gets out of the “hotwifing” arrangement.
“I like that she can come home and tell me in her words what she experienced, how she felt, what she was feeling. I'm just getting the visual”, he said, explaining that Maddie tells him everything that’s happened after she’s been out.
Then, the couple have something that is known as “reclaimed” sex after that, which is “more intense” than regular sex, as Kyle puts it.
