It's been somewhat of a mixed bag on the weather front for the last few weeks with small pockets of sunshine interspersed with days where the sky seems to do nothing but weep.
But thankfully, we may finally be seeing some damn good weather if Met Éireann's forecast is to be believed.
Temperatures are set to rocket to 21 degrees over the weekend as much of the country enjoys sunnier weather after an unsettled period.
This means that, this weekend, we could be seeing the hottest temperatures of the year so far.
But looking out the window on Friday in some areas, you'd be forgiven for thinking it is business as usual. Friday will begin with dull and misty conditions and these will persist across much of the eastern half of Ireland today.
There will be scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, especially this evening.
However, there will be drier and brighter conditions across the western half of the country, with the best of the sunny spells across west and southwest counties with highest temperatures reaching 12 degrees.
Saturday will be a warm day with good sunny spells breaking through with top temperatures of 21 degrees in some areas, although there will be some scattered showers in some areas.
Highest temperatures on Sunday are expected in the midlands and east, while the west and southwest may see some cloudier skies with temperatures slightly lower.
Temperatures will remain above average on Sunday with highs of 19 to 21 degrees with good sunny spells.
Most areas will remain dry but it will not be quite as warm across parts of the south and west coast.
