It’s not looking good.

A weather warning has been issued by Met Eireann for three counties, Galway, Cork and Kerry. The warning is in place until Saturday afternoon with heavy showers expected later this evening and throughout the night.

Although these counties will be worse affected, the rest of country will still experience the rain at times. Today will begin dry with the chance of rain in some parts with conditions turning overcast later in most areas.

Tonight’s rain be will heaviest in the west with the chance of flooding.

Tomorrow will start very wet with the heavy rain spreading east in the morning. Even though it will begin to get drier as the day progresses, there will still be some rain at times.

Sunday will be a bright, cool and breezy day with a mixture of sunny spells and scattered heavy showers of rain or hail.

The outlook for the beginning of next week is mixed with chances of heavy rain likely on Monday evening.
