Storm Desmond has wreaked havoc on the Irish landscapes (and Facebook timelines) since Friday.
The weather has brought out the very best in Irish people. First there was Teresa Mannion’s intense report from the eye of the storm – or at least very close to it. Then we the had the pilot that ordered two pints from Air Traffic Control after hard days work, and not to mention the gentleman that saved the smiling donkey from drowning. Yes, a smiling donkey.
Then there were the Air Corps, who decided to capture a birdseye view of the carnage caused in one Mayo town.
This footage, published on RTÉ News’ Facebook page, shows the wonderful town of Ballyhaunis submerged in water.
