Nothing impresses us more than seeing girls and women across the world making their mark which is why, this morning, this video had us all cheering with pride.
The clip shows a 10-year-old girl, identified as Kaylyn Mintz, take on a military cadet in a push-up contest.
The girl, who is said to be trying out for the Junior Olympic Gymnastics Team, took part in the contest as part of a series of fitness challenges. (Unsurprisingly, Kaylyn was also best at planks.)
Now, Mintz will travel alongside her coach to the USAG Olympic Training Centre in Houston in October, to try out for a position on the US Junior Olympic team.
The video was taken at a benefit for the Active Heroes Foundation, sponsored by Stand At Attention’s Willmington, North Carolina Chapter.
