Secret 900-year-old Vatican book reveals when ‘Judgement Day’ will happen

Mark your calendars!

‘Judgement Day’ may be upon us sooner than we think, that is according to a secret 900-year-old Vatican book of prophecies.

Discovered in the archives of the Vatican, a chilling ancient text reportedly predicts the year the so-called ‘Day of Judgement’ will occur.

The book, which is entitled ‘Prophecy of the Popes’, was written by the Irish bishop, Saint Malachy, in the twelfth century.

It features 112 short Latin descriptions of each Pope from Celestine II in 1143 up until Pope Francis.

Additionally, slightly more eery, the book pencils in a rough date for the end of times.

Predicted in the book to take place in 2027, Day of Judgement is the day some Christians believe Jesus will rise again and come to Earth to determine who will go to heaven and hell.

Some Christians refer to the day as ‘Final Judgement’ or ‘Doomsday’, to be the end of the world as we know it.

Saint Malachy is thought to have written the books following a vision he had when on a trip to Rome in 1139.

Reported by the Daily Star, the final passage of the book reads: “In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations, after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End.”

Not everyone is perceiving this as doomsday, with some people interpreting the passage to mean someone called Peter will take the reins from Pope Francis.

The 88-year-old is currently in hospital after suffering ‘acute respiratory failures.’
