The recall was prompted by the risk of burns associated with the product.
According to the CCPC, the lid threads on the affected travel mugs can shrink when exposed to heat and torque.
This defect may cause the lid to detach during use, potentially leading to burns.
The recall applies to specific models of Stanley’s Trigger Action Travel Mugs. The impacted model numbers are:
Approximately 228 units of these models are reported to be in circulation in the Republic of Ireland.
Consumers who own one of the affected travel mugs are advised to stop using the product immediately.
Stanley 1913 is offering replacement lids to resolve the issue. Customers can request a replacement lid through the company’s official website.
