Two men have been arrested following the rape of a woman in Clondalkin in the early hours of Thursday morning.
According to a statement from the Gardaí, one of the men is a teenager, while the other is in his 20s.
The woman was pushing her bike towards Clondalkin village around 3.20am, when she was dragged into a local park and sexually assaulted.
An investigation was immediately launched and the area searched forensically.
The two men were arrested in the early hours of Friday morning, and are currently being detained at Lucan Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 – Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Reports yesterday said that the woman was raped by at least one of the men, with the counts of violence committed by the other men not yet known.
