The man died at the scene, while the woman was pronounced dead some time later.
A man and a woman have died, and a third person has been injured following a road crash in Co. Roscommon.
According to RTÉ, the single-car crash took place early this morning R293 between Ballaghadereen and Gorteen at Edmonstown Road.
The man, who was in his 20s, died at the scene. The woman, who was in her 30s, was taken to Mayo University Hospital, where she was sadly pronounced dead some time later.
The third passenger, a man in his 20s, sustained injuries in the accident. He was brought to Mayo University Hospital and it’s understood that his injuries are not life-threatening.
The road where the accident occurred has been closed and an examination is currently underway.
