Two Irish cities have been named in the top 10 most friendly in the world

2 is certainly better than none...

Sure it’s no surprise, we’re f*cking deadly.

A survey conducted by major travel magazine, Condé Nast Traveller, has found that two Irish cities, as voted for by its readers, rank as third and sixth as most friendly in the world.

In a list of the most friendly cities in the world, Dublin rank as third most friendly and Galway rank as sixth most friendly.

It comes as no surprise that Galway was voted as part of the list considering the city was named European Capital of Culture 2020 last month.

The top ten friendliest cities in the world according to the publication’s 2016 survey are:

  1. Charleston, South Carolina, USA
  2. Sydney, Australia
  3. Dublin, Ireland
  4. Queenstown, New Zealand
  5. Park City, Utah, USA
  6. Galway, Ireland
  7. Savannah, Georgia, USA
  8. Kraków, Poland
  9. Bruges, Belgium
  10. Nashville, Tennesee, USA

One Condé Nast reader speaking about Galway commented “THESE ARE THE FRIENDLIEST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER MET”, while Dublin garnered praise in compliments like “The Irish are so much fun, there’s always a smiling face to talk to” and “LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IRELAND. THE PEOPLE ARE THE NICEST IN THE WORLD.”

What can we say? We’re a lovely bunch.
