RIP.

Tributes are pouring in for Patrick Kriegel after it was announced that he had passed away in his home on June 19. The father of Ana Kriegel was originally from Paris, but had set up life in Kildare. His name sadly became known when his daughter was brutally attacked, murdered and sexually assaulted in a derelict home in Lucan in 2018. He is “sadly missed by his loving wife, Aaron, Bruno, Nathalie, Phillippe and all his loving family and friends.” Hundreds of people have shared their condolences online, with one person saying: "Condolences to you Geraldine and all of Patrick’s family. You have all suffered enough. May Patrick rest with Ana and look after you always. May you have strength to walk on and memories to sustain you. In my thoughts and prayers." Patrick was such a nice person, kind, helpful, funny and great company. I am so very sorry to learn of Patrick's death. Thinking of you all." A third wrote: "Deepest sympathy Geraldine, and extended family, on the passing of Patrick, you are in our thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time for you all, Patrick is reunited again with his precious Daughter Ana, rest in peace." A fourth said: "Deepest sympathy to the Kriegel family on the loss of a dear husband and father. May he rest in peace reunited with his beloved daughter Ana. May you find comfort in your wonderful memories of them both. Thinking of you at this sad time."
