Get well soon, Tom.
Actor Tom Hanks has confirmed that he and his wife Rita Wilson are among a group of people recently diagnosed with COVID-19.
In a statement issued through his official Twitter page, Hanks confirmed that he and his wife were tested for the illness after developing colds, chills and fevers while in Australia.
Hanks struck a relatively upbeat tone in the statement, saying: “We Hanks’ will be tested, observed and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than an a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?”
The 63-year-old actor is currently in Australia to work on an Elvis Presley biopic directed by Baz Luhrmann.
