According to a notice published by the CCPC: “The risk presented by this product is fire and explosion. The plug and fuse do not meet required safety standards.”
The brand is Elgetec and the bar code is 7426978603181.
There are approximately 250 affected products in the Republic of Ireland and customers are being urged to check the barcode on their item before returning them in store as soon as possible.
“The product was on sale in TK Maxx and Homesense stores between January 2019 and December 2022,” the notice confirmed.
Customers should stop using the product immediately and bring it back to any TK Maxx or Homesense store for a full refund.
