It’s looking like it could be a quite mild Halloween.
Met Eireann says that temperatures on Saturday will be in the low to mid-teens. There will be a lot of cloud but sunny spells will break through and it will stay mainly dry for the day.
Sunday will be dry in Leinster, east Ulster and east Munster but other western areas will see scattered outbreaks of rain with some places in the southwest, west and northwest experiencing some heavy showers.
It will still be mild enough with temperatures around 10 or 11 degrees.
Bank Holiday Monday will be mild and dry again. There could be some outbreaks of rain or drizzle but it will mainly be a cloudy day with some sunny spells. Temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees are expected.
It’s going to turn cooler on Tuesday as a much colder air moves from north to south gradually. Frost is expected during Tuesday night as well.
And it looks like it’s going to get even colder later in the week with polar vortex bringing “below normal temperature”.
