A teenage boy is in custody in the US tonight after a 16-year-old girl was stabbed to death.
The high school student, who has been named as Maren Sanchez, was fatally assaulted at Jonathan Law High School in Milford and a teenage boy was taken into custody after emergency services arrived at the scene.
It is believed that police are investigating whether the girl was attacked as a result of declining an invitation to the junior prom.
